Meet Karen Shadbolt
Karen Shadbolt, singer, songwriter and musician, lives in Conroe, TX with her husband John. Karen has been in music ministry for over twenty years as a soloist, worship leader, choir director of both adult and children's choirs, and pianist. Karen sings and writes music that communicates the message of hope that can be found only in a relationship with Jesus Christ. Her singing and writing style can be described as a mixture of contemporary, praise and worship, inspirational, acoustic folk and a little bit o' country.
A TESTIMONY OF GRACE... after high school graduation, Karen moved from Lake Charles, LA to Houston and began a long journey that carried her further away from the truth she'd grown up hearing ? that Jesus loved her and died to save her. After ten years, like the prodigal son, she came to her senses and, on August 8, 1977, gave her life to Christ.
Karen has studied music with some of the best Christian writers and artists, having completed studies at the Babbie Mason Songwriting Conference in Atlanta (1991); Steve Hurst School of Music Ministry and Performance, Nashville (2001); Stamps-Baxter School of Music, Nashville (2004); and most recently was a roster artist with Incubator Records (2004-2007).
In May 2009 Karen signed a music placement agreement with Audiosocket Inc. for licensing opportunities to all forms of media. A full catalog of her songs from her newest CD release Better Day was accepted by Audiosocket for shopping to their clients.
