Meet David Silva
David Silva taught himself to play guitar in the mid '70s and began writing songs shortly after. In 1985 he became a father, his priorities changed, and he put away his guitar.
Once both sons were old enough to survive if he were to leave them in the woods and speed off, he took his guitar out from under his bed. Since that time, in various venues throughout Northern California he has been playing his original songs which are often compared to those of John Prine and Lyle Lovett.
He recently released Moorpark Oasis, his first CD of original music.
